TWO FUGITIVE CRUISERS.
REPORTED SALE TO TURKEY.
(Received August 13, 11.5 p.m.) - London, August 12.
Turkey is reported to have purchased the German cruisers Goeben and Breslau, which the Admiralty believes have taken refuge in the Dardanelles. The report is regarded in official circles as being without foundation, but it is regarded as being probable. A message from Constantinople states that negotiations are proceeding for the removal of the German . officers and crew from the cruisers.
MAY GO OUT OF SERVICE.
Melbourne, August 13The first official bulletin receivod from the High Commissioner for Australia states that tho cruisers will be dismantled.
