EXTENSION OF MORTGAGES.
CASE OF BUILDING SOCIETIES.
[DV TELEGRAM;—SrECIAL CORKESPONDENT.] Wellington', Thursday, During the discussion on the Mortgages Extension Bill yesterday, Mr. A. M. Myers (Auckland East) asked whether any provision had been inado in the measure for the case of building societies.
The Minister for Financo stated that the matter had been considered, but that it was not possible to deal -with it in the present Bill. It would have to bo dealt with in a separate measure.
