MOUNT ALBERT SOCIAL CLUB.
A wkll-attendkd meeting of the Mount Albert Literary and Social Club was held on Monday evening in King George's Hall, when a programme of elocutionary items was provided under the direction of Mr. F. Astley. As an introduction, Air. Mclnnos contributed a paper on "Elocution," which Was followed by recitations from Miss Spragg, Messrs. A. Sexton, and P. Burton. An Irish dialogue in costume was presented by Misses Stephenson and Finlay, while Miss Astley gave a song, Mrs. Watson a reading, and Mr. G. Mcßride delivered an original pcom. A number of the junior members gave sight-reading of various pieces, which proved very interesting.
