NATURALISATION PAPERS.
A HATTER FOR CAUTION.
[Bt TM.EGRAPH.—SPECIAL CORRKSrONDKNT.j Wellington, Tuesday. A statement in reference to the question of the naturalisation of aliens at present in the Dominion, was made to-day in the House of Representatives by the Prime Minister, in reply to the Hon. R. McKenzie.
Mr. Massey said that the Government needed to be very careful at present in regard to naturalisation. He would consult the Minister for Internal Affairs in regard to a particular case raised by Mr. McKenzio, but he could not encourage the idea that the Government was going to issue naturalisation papers in a' wholesale way. Nothing in this direction would bo done for a long time to come. (Hear, hear).
