GENERAL ADVANCE OF GERMANS IN BELGIUM.
CONCENTRATION OF FIVE ARMY CORPS EXPECTED. ATTACK UPON MAIN ARMY BEFORE REINFORCED. (Received August 10, 8.30 p.m.) Brussels, August 9. Threo German Army Corps at Liege were still in position on 1 Saturday afternoon. An important movement of German troops towards Huy is in progress, suggesting that the Germans intend to concentrate five army corps to attack the main Belgian Army before tho Frencß arrive. The Germans arc apparently seeking to cross the Meuso by; passing round tho forts towards Vise, and between Liege and Huy. A body of German cavalry is already between Liego and Namur. The Belgian Army is ready, and tho French are in touch with it.
The Germans have detached tho Third Army Corps, known a3 the "Iron Corps," from tho advance towards Marcho to attack! Liege.
A cable message received in Amsterdam on Saturday night stated that the following official message was received from Berlin:— • "We hold Liego fast in our hands. The losses of the enemy ars considerable."
