Tho action of the club in imposing the fine was endorsed. Tho evidence disclosed tho fact that one of the patrol stewards had been interested in the race, and it was decided to ask the club for au explanation of that official's admission. The application of W. J. Burk for the removal of his disqualification imposed in 1903 was adjourned till nest meeting. Notices of motion to come before the Trotting Conference s vero considered, and .the president was instructed to oppose the proposal of the Forbury Park Trotting Uub giving permission to clubs and individuals, to appeal to the conference from all decisions of the association. Cases of alleged " ringing in " of trotting horses which have been under investigation for some time past were considered. The first case was that of Teviotdale, alleged to bo identical with Romany Lad. It was decided to postpone consideration of tho case until further information linTl been received, and to call upon A. McGregor and 11. Stringer, tho former trainer and owner, to produce Teviotdale for inspection by the association's ey&miner by August 1. The board r Iso dealt with the Alexandra Park case, .the allegation being that (lie horso was identical with Red Cloud, who had raced in Canterbury, and also in Wanganui, in 'L9ll. Evidence to this effect had been given by several witnesses, while other witnesses called by Mr. J. K. Corritran denied tho statement.
