METHODIST CIRCUIT.
The quarterly meeting of the Methodist Central Circuit was hold last evening in the Pitt Street Church. The Rev. C. H. Laws, who was heartily welcomed to the position of superintendent- minister, presided over a gathering of over M representatives, Tho report from the. various churches showed that satisfactory progrt.'? had been made. The Sunday-schools li ; >u an increase of 60 ' scholars, and the (scheme for building a new church was steadily moving forward. A stronglyworded resolution in favour of tin- Bihloin schools movement was unanimously carried, and a copy of the resolution is to bo forwarded to the local members of Parliament
