PLAY OFF.

London, Juno 30, The All-England Tennis Championship ' were advanced a. further stage to-day, when % the semi-finals were played. These were won by N. E. Brookes (Australia), and Froitzhcim (Germany), who will play oil to decido £' who shall oppose A. F. Wilding, the holder ' of tho championship, in the final round. In tho semi-finals to-day Brookes heat ' Beamish, 6—o, 6—3, —2. Froitzhcim (Germany) beat Mavrogordato ' (Britain), 6—3, 6— 7—5. In the men's doubles, Doust 'Australia) and Mavrogordato beat Decugis and (joinio) '• (France), 6—4. B—6, 6—l. ■; A. H. and Gordon Lowe boat Dunlcn (Australia) and Harding (England:, 6-1 6—2, 7—5. In the mixed doubles, Wildini; and Mdlle Broquedis beat Harding and Mrs. Harding 6-1, 7-5. Beamish was very nervous, and 10, ' many points by doublo faults He kept up strong drives against Brookes weak oackhand, but failed to put in a wiiuit shot ' when the opportuifry offered.
