The Indemnity Bill has passed the report stage, Mr. Merriman's amendment to cancel the banishment clauses being negatived by 73 votes to 29. The third reading will be moved on Monday. The Estimates provide £260,000 to cover the repression of the strikes of July and January. This sum includes £177,000 as the cost of mobilisation in January.
