PROPOSED LEGISLATION.
WELSH DISESTABLISHMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, March 5. The Plural Voting Bill was introduced into the House of Commons yesterday by Mr. J. A. Pease (President of the Board of Education).
Mr. McKenna (Home Secretary) then introduced the Welsh Church Disestablishment Bill, and a private Bill was introduced to permit women to practise as solicitors.
PLURAL VOTING BILL. The Plural Voting Bill provides that during the continuance of a general election a person cannot vote as a Parliamentary elector or ask for a ballot or voting paper for the purpose of so voting, in more than one constituency- This Bill passed its third reading in the House of Commons in July, 1913, but was rejected by the Lords.
