STOCKS AND SHARES.
YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS.
A fair amount of business was done on the sharemarket yesterday. In standard stocks. New Zealand insurances were reported as being sold at £5 15s. Taupiri Coals were done at 91s 6d. Northern Steams brought 14s 5d and 14s 6d. A Rile of Taka puna Tram and Ferry stocks was reported at Bs.
Waihi mining shares changed hands at' 48s 6d. 48s 3d, and finally at 48s. Talismans were available at 43s 3d, but buyers did not offer more than 42s 3d. Waihi Grand Junctions were done at 25s 9d.
