YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS.

The sharemarket was fairly quiet yesterday. In standard stocks, Northern Coals (10s paid) sold at 10s 3d. New Zealand Insurances were in demand at £5 14s 6d, and South British at 85s.

Of mining lines, Waihis were done at (48s 3d). Talismans were on offer at 435, and buyers offered 42s 6d. Grand Junctions brought 25s 9d.
