PLOT AGAINST AUSTRIA.

Bi'da Pesth, March 4. An important trial of 94 persons, mostly Hungarians and Ruthenians (inhabitants of the Little Russias) has concluded. The principal accused was a Russian monk named Father Alexius Montathos, whose real name is Alexander Kabalyuk.

The accused were charged with making seditious statements against the Emperor Franz Josef and the -Hungarian dynasty. Hundreds of thousands of books and pamphlets were circulated in order to incite the people to rebellion with the view of joining Russia.

Alexius has been sentenced to 4i rears in prison, and 31 of the others to terms of imprisonment varying from one to three years. The remainder were acquitted. Four are now suffering from religious madness.
