Washington, March :'.. The Judiciary Committee of the House i'f Representatives to-day met suffragist deputations, demanding a constitutional amendment of the United States law providing for feminine suffrage
Dr. Mary Walker, who wore trousers ami a silk hat, made a vigorous plea fur women's rights, threatening that the women voters throughout the suffrage States would destroy the Democratic Party unless their demands were granted. The Senate later debated the question. Mr. v'lapp held that all the evil influences throughout the United States sought to prevent women getting votes as they would instantly right many glaring social wrongs.
