HOSPITAL FOR WAIRAU.
MUCH-DEBATED PROPOSAL.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Blenheim, Friday. For the last four days Mr. Evans, S.M., commissioner, has been conducting an inquiry into the question of building a new hospital in the Wairau district. A large amount of evidence has been taken, including medical opinions for.and against the proposals. Four local bodies out of seven object to the hospital as an unnecessary expense. The commissioner will report to the Minister.
