FLIGHT ON AEROPLANE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. J Wellington, Thursday. A successful trial flight was made by Mr. H. Scotland in his Caudron biplane, at Otaki this afternoon. A large crowd, composed mostly of Maoris, watched the machine rise to a height of 500 ft and circle about for half an hour, and then descend gently to the ground a few yards from the starting point. A speed of about 60 miles an hour was attained at times.
