FOOTBALL BETTING.
CHARGE OF BRIBERY. Times-Sydney Sun Special Cable. (Received December 12, 6.55 p.m.) London, December 12. Evidence was heard yesterday in the case of the man named Biolette, who is charged with having attempted to bribe Jesse Pennington, the West Bromwich Albion back, to lose the match against Everton. Biolette, who is the son of a man conducting an extensive football coupon betting business in Geneva, pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.
