(Received December 10, 6 p.m.) New York, December 10. The appeal by Harry Thaw to be admitted to bail pending the hearing of the extradition charge was heard at Concord (New Hampshire) yesterday.
Thaw escaped 'in August from Matteawan Asylum, where he was under sentence of confinement for life for the shooting of Stanford White several years ago. He made his way into Canada, but was recaptured at Shcrbrooke, and after a sensational trial hurried back across the border again fry motorcar.
The Judge ruled that the Federal Court must examine the whole question of Thaw's sanity.
