BOROUGH OF TAKAPUNA.
ELECTION OF COUNCILLORS.
Notice has been received by Messrs. Alison and Alison, solicitors, from the As-tistant-Under-Secret-ary' of the Department, of Internal Affairs to the effect that the Srst election of councillors for the newly-constituted Borough of Takapuna is to be held on August 27. The number of councillors shall be nine, exclusive of the Mayor, and the council will hold its first meeting on Monday, September 1, at 7.30 p.m., at the Takapuna Bowling Club's pavilion. Mr. A. M. Pickford is to be the returning officer for the election, and is to prepare the district electors' roll. Forms of application for enrolment are now obtainable from Mr. Pickford, Swanson Street.
