ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
[BY. TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRBSPOKDBNT.3 RoioatrA, Wednesday. A BBtCUXi meeting of the Botorua County Council, under Section 90 of The Counties' Act. to adopt the traffic by-laws, was held this morning, there being present: Messrs. H. W. King (chairman), G. H. Clinkard, J. White, and A. J. Young. The chairman called attention to the provisions of the Act governing the order of procedure, laying stress on the powers to amend any by-law. Before confirmation of the resolution he read a report, from the county solicitor, . submitting a draft of by-law regulating the width of tyres on all vehicles plying within the county for consideration By the council. Taking into consideration the nature of the roads in the county, Mr. Urquhart was of the Opinion that the council would be quite in order is passing the resolutions Submitted. The clerk (Mr. J. W. Wrigley) read the proposed by-law controlling the traffic on the ooonty roads by regulating the width of tyres in proportion to tbe weight of loads. The chairman moved the adoption of the by-law. Mr. White seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. The by-law is .to be confirmed at the next meeting of the conndl - . . .
