FRUIT BY MAIL.
SYSTEM FINALLY APPROVED.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— association*.] Kaitangata, Thursday. At the banquet tendered to the Hon. Jamca Allen to-day the Postmaster-General (Hon. R. H. Rhodes) announced that all negotiations are now complete for the transmission of packages of fruit through tho intermediary of the post Office. On the previous day he approved of the system, which would be brought into operation at the beginning of tho year. A largo number of details had necessarily to bo arranged, but by that time the Department would have the new system in complete working order.
