During the six weeks ending November . 2 last the Waihi-Paeroa Gold Extraction , Company treated 18,000 tons of tailings for , a return (the seventh) of £6295. A dividend of Is pjr share has been declared by the directors of t the WaihiPaeroa Gold Extraction Company on all the shares of the company, both fully paid and contributing, as registered on November 16, and tho dividend will be payable on and after November 23. The sum to be distributed amongst shareholders will amount, to £6250. OCCIDENTAL. Tha manager of the Occidentid mine, Thames, telegraphed yesterday stating that 101b of picked stono had been obtained from the etope. Samples of picked stone from the third stope at tho 70ft level in the mine aro 011 view at tlie company's office. OHINEMURI APPLICATIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN* CORRESPONDENT. ] Paeroa, Friday. It was decided at yesterday's meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council to recommend the amended application by Mr. F. ,T. Butcher for prospecting in tho Northwestern Claim or Golden Cross. The application of the Tellurides Proprietary for assistance in driving a prospecting claim at Maratoto was recommended to the Minister for Mines. DREDGING RETURNS. Br Telegraph.— Association— Melbourne, November 8. | Tho Mount Lyell returns from October I 3 to 30 (inclusive) show that 8143 tons of | ore, also 309 tons from the Tharsis mine, I were treated. The converters produced 196 tons of blister copper, containing 193 tons of copper, 12,6610z of silver., ana 2870z of gold. The low output is duo to the North Lyell mine disaster.
