LORD ROBERTS'S PRAISE.

Wellington, Friday. A coiiiroNic.vnoN has been received locally from Colonel A. Keene, of the National Service League, congratulating New Zealand on the stamp of manhood contained in the territorial force. Tho letter contains an appreciation from Lord Roberts of the success of the scheme here, and goes on to say, that when universal training is adopted in the Mother Country they will be able to show " plenty of good stuff too," but there will b<| a deplorably large residuum of weaklings.
