THE CAMPBELL BEQUESTS.

SALVATION ARMY'S SCHEME.

Commissioner Richasws, thief of tho Salvation Army in New Zealand, informed a Herald representative that the bequests of the late Sir John Logan Campbell to three of tho Auckland' institutions under the Army's care would be used as follows —

1. Prison Gate Home (£soo).—ln the general development of tho institution, and the probable purchase of additional property with a view to improving the efficiency and tho rapacity of the homo.

2. Rescue Home (£500). —The (erection of a new and greatly improved laundry, which will be of special assistance to the industries of the home.

3. Maternity Homo (£soo).—ln the assisting in the erection of a much larger building with up-to-date facilities for carry. ing on the work of this home. The land for the new home was purchased some months ago.
