GRAMMAR SCHOOL BOARD.

A aiKETixo of the Board of Governors of the Auckland Grammar School was held yesterday afternoon, there being present : Professors F. D. Brown (in the chair), A. p. W. Thomas, Hon. J. A. Tole, Dr. Roberton, Messrs. G. J. Garland and A. Ridel.

It was decided upon the motion of Mr. Tole that the representations made to the Minister for Finance and Education regarding a grant for tho new school at Mount Eden be renewed, in view of the change of the Ministry. A report was received, to the effect that excavation work upon the new school site at Mount Eden had cost £890 to date. It was decided that authority be given to expend a further £500 upon this work. Accounts.to the amount- of £1074 lis 7d were passed for payment*
