MOTORS VERSUS TRAMS.
PALMERSTON NORTH SCHEMES. TBT TELEGRAPH".. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Palmers-ton North, Monday. It was to-night decided to form a company with a capital of £10,000, in £1 shares, to purchase and run motor 'buses in PaJmerston North, and to the surrounding country districts. The type of motor proposed is to cost about £600 in London, and is to carry 25 passengers, and be of 40 horse-power. A tramway proposal for the town alone, at a cost of £60,000, is at present before the people, and it is likely that the motor 'bus proposal will be urged in its stead.
