A BISHOP ON TOUR.

DR. CROSSLEY IN THE NORTH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COBBXSPONDENT.] Whangakelj. Monday. The Anglican Bishop of Auckland commenced his tour of the extreme northern portion of this large diocese by holding a confirmation sen-ice at Whakapara, the centre furthest south of the Waimate archdeaconry, on Saturday. The Bishop arrived at Whangarei on Saturday morning, accompanied by his chaplain, the Rev. H. A. Hawkins, and left by the mid-day train for Whakapara. The Bishop and the Revs. H. A. Hawkins and Mortimer Jones left alter the service for Russell, via Kawakawa. After holding confirmation services at Rnssell and Kawakawa Dr. Crossley proceeds through to the extreme North. A very large number of native candidates will be presented for confirmation at Kaikohe.
