WATERSIDE WORKERS.
GISBORNE UNION'S DEMANDS. [B"r TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] 1 GrsBOKNE, Monday. A meeting of the Gisborne Waterside Workers was held this morning, when a new list, of demands was drafted. A copy of these will be sent to the employers concerned, and a conference asked for, with a view to an amicable arrangement being arrived at. BLUFF MEN DISSATISFIED. " [ST TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Invercargill, Monday. The Bluff waterside workers are evidently not satisfied with the present award, which came into force last year, and should not expire for another two years. It is understood that the new demands are on similar lines to those rerently granted to Northern wharf labourers, and the men have asked the shipping companies' representatives to meet them in conference on March 14.
