NE TEMERE DECREE.
WANGANUI CHURCHES PROTEST? [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Waxgantti, Monday. The Wangamii Council of Churches tonight passed a resolution protesting against the introduction of the- No Temere Decree into New Zealand, on the grounds that (1) it would be a dangerous precedent to allow ono section of the Christian Church to interfere with the marriage law of the Dominion; (2) it would imperil the, happiness of many homes in which there are mixed marriages; (3) it would promote denominational interests in opposition to the wellbeing of the Dominion and would tend to widen the breach between the divisions of the Christian Church.
