PROPOSED ACQUISITION.
[BY TELEGRAPH.SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.\ Wellington, Wednesday. ' This Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) was interviewed last evening by Mr. C. J. Parr (Mayor of Auckland) and Mr. A. M. Myers, M.P., in regard to the acquisition of the Orakei Estate by the Auckland City Council. The Prime Minister said in reply that (he matter would receive every consideration, snd indicated that he would probably ; introduce legislation < this session to enable the Council to negotiate with the natives for their interests in the estate.
