They expected ■< to, receive instructions to leave the ship in Diinedin, but realising the difficulty of securing other officers the local agents got permission from the Merchant Service Guild for the officers to remain on duty until reaching Lyttelton, the vessel's home port. The Breeze sailed at five p.m. for Timaru and Lyttelton.
