ROWING.
AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Rowing Club are making an early start this season with, their " trials," the first fours being announced for Saturday week, when trophies presented by club members will be competed for. Large entries are anticipated, as some 30 new members have already been enrolled this season. Entries . for the trials close with the secretary at the boathouse next Saturday afternoon. ; The club's plant has undergone a thorough overhaul, and is now in first-class condition. A new racing four has been received from Messrs. Edwards and Sons, of .Melbourne, and a large stock! of oars is also expected from the same quarter in the course of a few days.
