FIGHT ON A" RAILWAY STATION.

Two young men—a railway porter named Andrew McKenna and a jockey named Joseph Mills—were charged, before Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., at the Police Court yesterday, with having committed a breach of the peace at the Greenlane railway station on Saturday night... McKenna pleaded not guilty, but Mills, for. whom Mr. Moody appeared, admitted the charge. The accused men were passengers by a late train on Saturday from Auckland to Papatootoe, and in the course of a disturbance which arose, McKenna was knocked off the platform at Greenlane station on to the permanent way. When a constable came up the two men were fighting on the platform, and both were bleeding. The magistrate held that there was not sufficient evidence against McKenna, but Mills was convicted and fined £1, and £2 5s costs.
