BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

Business was brighter on the Stock Exchange yesterday. In mining lines both Walhis and Waihi Grand Junctions showed an improvement. Waihis were dealt in at from 69s' to 69s 6d to 69s 3d to 69s 9d to 70s, with further sellers at 70s 6d, and buyers at 70s. Sales were made in Waihi Grand Junctions at 35s 3d and 355, more being inquired for at 34s 9d, sellers quoting 35s 3d. Talisman Consolidateds were disposed of at 51s, and there were further buyers at that figure, with sellers at 51s 3d. Waihi Extendeds changed hands at Is lOd. In investment stocks Northern Steamships (con.) were done at 7s 3d.
