THE GOVERNOR.
His Excellency the Governor (Lord Islington) attended the Auckland Chamber of Commerco dinner last evening. His Excellency intended to proceed to Pukeiniro, near Huntly, by the Rotorua express this morning, for a few days' shooting, but circumstances have arisen which may necessitate) a postponement of his departure from Auckland.
Arrangements have been made by Lord Islington to journey on Sunday evening to Palmers ten North, whero he will be given <io official reception on his arrival on Monday morning. On the following day he trill take part in various functions, and on Wednesday ho will motor to Wellington.
