BRIBES FOR A BALLERINA.

St. Petersburg, January 22. In connection with the army contract scandals a famous ballerina is suspected of receiving bribes from agents of foreign ordnance firms on account of her influence with one of the Grand Dukes.
The police ransacked her house, despite the Grand Duke's protests, and seized many cases of. jewels in order to trace their purchasers.
