RIVAL CHINESE GANGS.
• By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright Vancouver, January 22. Evidence at the Chinese immigration inquiry disclosed the existence of a smuggling ring of opium-sellers, in which many prominent subscribers to the anti-Opium League are involved. Huge profits were made by the smugglers.
One party of Chinese, learning that the other was landing a big consignment ; of. opium, personated detectives and captured all the booty.
Vancouver was used as a centre to supply the chief Canadian cities.
