A NARROW ESCAPE.
TRAIN KILLS WAGGON HORSE.

Gretmootu, Friday. Last night's Otira train crashed into a pair of horses drawing a waggon containing nine persons returning from a funeral at Blackball, when close to Stillwater Junction. One horse v/as killed and the other maimed, but not- one of the occupants of the vehicle was injured. The accident occurred at an exceedingly dangerous spot.
