GERMAN MILLIONAIRE.

The evidence in a libel action brought by Karl May, a septuagenarian millionaire, philanthropist, and author of pious books, and a prominent personality in German public life, proved him to be identical with a notorious brigand, Avho was sentenced to two terms of penal servitude for numerous crimes of violence in Southern Saxony 40 years ago.
May collapsed, and has been placed under supervision to prevent him from committing suicide.
