AUCKLAND LAND BOARD.

The Auckland Land Board mot yesterday. There was a full Board, and tho Commissioner (Mr. E. Gold Smith) presided. It was resolved to grant, under section 70 of the Lauds for Settlement Act, 1903, for church site, lot 6, Block V., Putaruru Village, to tho Methodist Church trustees for the sum of £10, with the approval of the Minister for Lands. Mr. P. W. Morton is to be granted an H.P.L. for 200 acres in Block XI., Ohinomuri S.D., being the portion cleared of bush, rental 9d per acre per annum, survey fee to be deposited and exact boundaries to bo fixed by the surveyor on the ground. The following areas will bo opened under tho Hauraki pastoral regulations:l2Bo acres, Block 11., Colville S.D., and 675 acres in Block ll.,'Moehau S.D. v Mr. Geo. E. Major's application for 50 acres in Block 11., Aroha S.D., under Part VIII. of the Land Act, 1903, at an annual rental of £5, was granted. Mr. H. N. Charlton's H.P.L." application for 100 acres, Blocks V. and IX., Oliinemuri S.D., at £3 per annum, was granted.* : Section 8, Block V., Rotjoiti S.D., containing 158 acres, was withdrawn from a water reserve under section 326 of the Land Act, 1903, for the purpose of disposing of it to adjoining owners. , Tho • following * vacant improved farm settlement lots, are to-be bitllotted amongst the names on the original ballot list: — Rangitoto No. 1 settlement, sections 20, Block IX; 4, Block V.; 5, Block IX.; 21, Block IX.; 4, Block X.; 1, Block XIV. The ranger was instructed to report on the advisability of withdrawing these lands from reservation, with a view to throwing them open for selection.. " ; ' ' : .
