; , JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. In the Magistrate's, Court yesterday, before Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M., orders for payment of the > amounts claimed, in default varying terms of imprisonment, were made in each of the following cases :— Johnston and Co., second-hand dealers, Auckland, v. G. H. Rowland, Grey-street/ Ellerslie, claim £6 6s 9d, order to be suspended i for seven days; F. >J. Mollard, dairyman, Auckland, v. E. Harris, Eden Terrace, £1 9s 9d, order to be suspended for seven days; William F. Ford, bootmaker, Auckland, v. J. Crook, Auckland, £1 6s 3d, order to be suspended for seven days. ■' .'/'.'" ■■ : ;... - ; . | DEFENDED CASES. The case between Chandler and Co., Ltd., and W. H. Woollams, chemist, Queen-street, a claim by plaintiff comany to recover ,£3O, damages sustained v reason of the defendant ' refusing to accept and pay for goods bargained and sold by the plaintiff to the defendant on or about January 28, 1909, was heard at the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon. After hearing the evidence the magistrate reserved his decision. Further evidence was heard in the case in which James Hamilton claimed the sum of £25 damages from Thomas Le Huquet in consequence of an accident to a cart which plaintiff was driving, the horse of which, was alleged to have shied at a punt left, in Church-street, Devonport, by the defendant. Mr. Prendergast appeared for the plaintiff and Mr. Bloomfield for the defendant. After the evidence was concluded the case was adjourned to enable Mr. C. C. Kettle to visit the spot where the accident occurred.
