ENTERTAINMENTS.

POLLARD OPERA COMPANY. " Olivette" was produced for tho last time by the Pollard Opera Company at His Majesty's Theatre last night, being accorded an appreciative hearing. To-night the popular company will bo seen in Bucalossi's delightful comic opera, "The Black Cloaks." Nearly every number in this delightful work is said to be a musical gem, while from a comedy point of view the laughter-provoking " Cat Duet " is famous throughout the Eng-lish-speaking world. The scene .is laid in Spain, -which gives ample scope for bright dressing and quaint national dances. Tho story deals with the love adventures of Don Phillip of Arragon, the King Consort, and it is through the amorous propensities of this gentleman that several most amusing situations are worked out. A feature of tho production will be a new and original ballad, "Maid of the Dear Eyes " (music by Mr. Alfred Hill, and lyric by Mr. J. Youlin Birch, composer and author respectively of " A Moorish Maid"), specially written for the occasion. This number will bo sung by Miss Cissio O'Keefe.
