H. A. Parker, writing under date September 11, says he is having a great time, and has just won the championship of Spain, the final being :&v'' snip," with a win of 6—o, 6—o against the holder. Ha a#o won outright th© Queen of Spam's trophy in the mixed doubles, and with Quill is in the final for the doubles. What with bull-fights and the Casino, he finds Spain a delightful place. ' With Poidcvin lie won th© Rhinelander Stewart international Doubles Cup at Homburg, beating Ritchie and Rahe, among others, and since leaving Australia has already won 32 prises. Parker was on the eve of visiting Rhcims, in France, where many leading players were to compete in a private tournament, and be th© guests of Dr. Luling. a multi-million-aire, and proprietor of Heidsieck's champagne. He intends' leaving London on th© return journey about the end of October, and desires to bo remembered to all New Zealand friends. The membership roll of th© Onohunga Lawn Tennis Club shows an increase oyer last year, and tho incoming season is being approached with much enthusiasm. Th© lawns are in splendid ploying order, and the season will be officially opened on Saturday next.
