WELLINGTON. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. At the Supreme Court to-day the jury failed to agree in tho case in which Peter Williamson Tait was charged with assault. CHRISTCHURCH. .[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION".] Christchurch, Thursday. At the Supreme Court to-day Frederick Marshall was indicted that on May 9, 1908, being then a servant of United Farmers' Coal , Company, Ltd., he stole £2 4s of the moneys of the .company. There was a second count, that on June 26, 1908, at Ashburton, the accused stole the sum of £60 belonging to the company. The trial had not concluded when the Court rose for the day.
