The Agamemnon is a comparatively new battleship, built just after the Dreadnought. She is of an intermediate type, between the Dreadnought and Invincible class. The Lord Neleon is of the same class, and Lord Brassey has been urging that a further two or four of identical design should be added to bring them up to a tactical unit. The cost of the Agamemnon was £1,600,000.
