CYCLIST AND MOTOR CAR.
ACTION FOR DAMAGES SETTLED.

Wellington, Saturday. On April 5 last, Murdoch Gillies, a telegraph operator, was killed while cycling on the Butt Road, as the result of a collision with a motor car, owned by Jolm Goring (Johnston, and driven by his servant. The Public Trustee, on behalf of the parents of deceased, sued Johnston for £501 damages. The case was to have been heard at the Supreme Court to-day, but it was announced that a settlement l»ad been arrived at between the parties.
