SPORTS MEETING AT PAEROA.

A successful sports meeting was held at Paeroa on Tuesday for the purpose of raising funds to plant trees on, the Domain reserve. It had originally been intended to hold the gathering on Empire Day, but owing to the wet weather a postponement was unavoidable. ONEHUNGA club.

The members of the Onehunga Ladies' Croquet Club brought the season to an end on. Wednesday evening, when a highly successful euchre tourney was held in the Foresters' Hall. During the evening the prizes won in the various competitions of the. season were presented to the. winners, while a first-class programme was carried out. The success of the evening was in a large, measure due to complete arrangements made by the secretary, Miss Bassett.
