Tenders were accepted 'as follows:—Forming portion of Waihi Beach Road, T. Tierney, £49 10s; formation, and clearing of 28 chains of Homaunga Road, near Waihi, M. J. Keaiie, £46: supply and delivery of 300 yds of sin spauls on Alpha Road, near Waitekauri. J. Gordon, £70. Netherton settlers waited on the Council with a request for a drain to be made ' between Vowles' and Moore's farms, and the Council agreed to do the work, provided the settlers pay half the cost.

Messrs. Nicholas, Crosby, and Strange were appointed a sub-committee to take steps to compel property-owners to clear willows from the river bar.Us.

Mr. E. Shaw was appointed foreman of works at a salary of £3 10s per week. It was decided to apply to the .Government for a grant of £500 to make the road to the Durbar mine, at Waitekauri. It was decided to invite tenders for the formation oi the balance of the Waihi Beach Road to lie county boundary, and to ask the Minister for Mines to have the road made from the county boundary to the beach. A grant of £50 was made to the l'aeroa Domain, Board. The Finance Committee's report stated that the overdraft amounted to £6535 7s sd. Receipts last mouth totalled £4475 13s Id, and accounts amounting to £2969 16s lid were passed lor payment.
