ASSESSMENT COURT.
CITY RATABLE VALUES. A sitting of the Assessment Court for the purpose of fixing the ratable values for Auckland City was held by Mr. It. W. Dyer, S.M., in the City Council Chambers yesterday. Against 9000 assessments made 118 objections were lodged, and were duly considered. Messrs. Hieklmg and F. G. Ewington appeared in support of the assessments made. Mr. Dyer explairied that they had unfortunately been obliged to adjourn from the Magistrate's Court, owing to it. being otherwise engaged. He regretted that any inconvenience should have been caused, and would hare advertised the change had he known earlier, but he only became aware of the necessity for it that morning.
