Alleged Cruelty: On the information of Henry Adler, inspector for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, William Richard Tole, jun., was' arranged on a charge of cruelty to a horse, it being alleged that lie failed to provide sufficient and proper fodder for the animal. Mr. A. G. Pilkington appeared for the society. De- . fendant applied for a remand until May 4, fife;/ and the request was granted. |fgf. Joseph Williams, for the r defence, stated that the fish reached defend- ! ant in bad condition, and were unfit for ? % consumption. The case was adjourned until I* May 4. Claim for Rent: Arnold Schnaucr sued David Pteeri. for £1 18s, alleged to be. due fipp#fdr-rent, which the latter disputed.. After Jffl hearing both sides, the S.M. gave judgmentfor the amount, claimed, with costs 12s.
